Our Story

Charles River Farm is a 130 acre farm located in Franklin, Mass. With 1 3/4 miles of Charles Riverbank. We are the largest private landowner of Charles River frontage in the state. Started in 1985 by father and son John and Andrew Dellea as a wholesale tomato and squash farm. Over the years, we evolved into primarily year-round greenhouse production. First flowers and now specialty produce. The 30 acres of open field is still in production and split between hay fields and mixed vegetables for farmer's markets, retail stands, and seasonal produce for restaurants and grocers. With 16,000 square feet of greenhouse production, we have been providing year-round microgreens, shoots, lettuce, and mushrooms to the Boston area since 2004.
